Come learn about financial resources available to small businesses with SBDC consultant, John Emsing!
The SBDC will be partnering with Pensacola Young Professionals to provide resources on government capital options available to small businesses. Local SBDC representatives will provide a roundtable discussion on financial resources available to small business owners and answer questions from local business owners about SBDC services.
John Emsing is an alumnus of the UWF College of Business. After graduation, he went to work for a start-up microbrewery in his hometown of Niceville, FL.
John spent three years with the company, during which he became General Manager and oversaw everything from marketing strategy to day-to-day operations. During this time the business expanded and was named the 17th fastest growing brewery in the US for 2018.
Since starting as a Consultant with the SBDC in 2019, he's worked with hundreds of local clients trying to start or grow their business. This work led to dozens of new businesses in our region, and assisted clients with obtaining millions in total capital to open/operate. In his second year, John was the SBDC at UWF's nominee for the Rising Star Award at the annual Florida SBDC conference.
John became Assistant Director for the SBDC at UWF in 2022, operating out of their Pensacola offices. The thing he most enjoys about working at the SBDC is helping clients reach new levels of success.
