April was a great month for us with several impactful and inspiring events and activities!
Our Commuity Roundtable was packed with inspiration (and sugar)! Thanks to everyone who joined us for an engaging evening with twin brothers and founders Jamal and Jamari Sharp as they shared the story behind Pensacola’s own superhero-themed dessert shop. From building a business rooted in community to creating experiences that leave a lasting impression, BAM! Snoballs showed us how entrepreneurship and impact go hand in hand. We also got a glimpse into their empowering children’s book, Unleash Your Inner Hero, reminding us all that the hero we’re looking for is already inside. We left the roundtable with full hearts, fresh ideas—and maybe a little snoball brain freeze.
We had a great turnout for our April PYP 101 event! Members and prospective members learned about PYP and how to get connected with our organization.
We loved seeing so many familiar faces and welcoming new ones into the PYP community at our April Young Pros Happy Hour. Thank you to B-Side for hosting us!
What an inspiring evening at PD After Hours: Silencing Your Inner Critic! A huge thank you to Author Quintarries Upshaw for sharing your incredible insights, personal experiences, and empowering strategies with our members. Your words truly motivated us to rethink the way we speak to ourselves and helped us find the confidence to overcome self-doubt. Thank you as well to everyone who came out and participated—you made the evening even more special with your energy, openness, and willingness to grow. Let’s keep the momentum going! Remember to silence your inner critic, believe in your potential, and build your confidence one step at a time. You have everything it takes to thrive both personally and professionally.
We had a phenomenal time volunteering for the 4th Annual Fred Levin Way Fest last month! We had over twenty-five PYP volunteers helping with the Toy Depot! We gave away thousands of toys including dolls, skates, skateboards, electronics, sports equipment, art & crafts, board games, puzzles, jewelry, books, and so much more, all generously donated by the Fred Levin Way Foundation, Inc.! This was an incredibly impactful event for our community, and we are grateful to have been a part of it!
Our members enjoyed gathering at Echo Coffee Co for our April Coffee and Conversation. They had a great time connecting and we welcomed many new prospective members.
