Executive Director

Overview
This is a “high profile” position requiring exemplary interpersonal skills and extraordinary communication skills. Must be able to represent The NISSI Project professionally in the community, with a mindset of diversity and inclusion. This position oversees the 24/7 short-term, immediate care facility. This position is the Liaison with numerous State and community based agencies, NISSI board of directors, and other Community groups on issues of human trafficking and servivor services. Relationship building and engagement are essential! Must maintain proactive and timely communication to the NISSI President and board of directors. In addition to external responsibilities, this position requires a high level of involvement with the operation of all organizational services. This includes, ensuring access to survivor services, the provision of needed services with a sustainable organizational structure, to assure a sensitive, trauma-informed process for victims and to attain outcomes that improve victim’s lives. Goals are to be attained with a collaborative spirit and integrity, recognizing that the quality, reputation, and strategic guidance of victim services are delegated to this position. Supervisory experience is required.

This position will provide:
● capacity building support to the organization on all issues related to human trafficking;
● develop and disseminate information awareness training and materials;
● serve as the organization’s representative on statewide and national human trafficking
initiatives; and identify gaps, needs, and barriers with the goal of strengthening collaboration and resource sharing across service providers.

Principal Duties:

  1. Develop exemplary program policies and procedures for operation and service line
    ● Intake and referral system
    ● Needs Assessment every 2 years (victims, public, agencies, staff, & board)
    ● Process for collaborations with other agencies that enhance Quantity, Quality, Access, & Process of Service Referrals
    ● Hospital and Community reporting protocols
       ○ Casebook
       ○ Multi-Disciplinary Response Team
    ● a network of support and services for individuals exiting human trafficking

    ● Build, cultivate, and maintain partnerships with allied organizations and community partners to create connections between their efforts related to improving the response to human trafficking throughout Florida
    ● To promote survivor inclusion in all project work, collaborating with survivor-led initiatives and serving as an ally to survivor leadership.
  2. Assure Competent and Productive staff
    ● Training and Staff/volunteer Development
    ● Consistent and engaging communication with direction, supervision, and enforcement of policies & procedures
  3. Administer Budget, Financials, Grant writing & implementation, Fund Raising, & Reporting
       ○ Manage annual budget, monthly historical & future trends
       ○ Grant searches, writing, and implementation
       ○ Audit, Insurance, check & balance systems (petty cash, mail), monitor expenses
       ○ Manage Board & Agency Relationships, Policies & Procedures, & Data Management
          ■ Board agenda, development, & recognition; (full, accurate, & timely)
          ■ Agency and personnel policies updated as needed, procedures, & assessments evaluated on a regular basis
          ■ Data management for victims, statistical, outcome, & grant data (full, accurate & timely
