The infamous tale of William Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers of Varona is revisited with comedic results in Pensacola Shakespeare Theatre’s May 19 presentation of “Romeo & Juliet’s Big Italian Wedding” at Artel Gallery in downtown Pensacola.
Written by Los Angeles playwright Dan Davis, who leaves plenty of room for improvisation by members of Pensacola’s own IMPROVable Cause Improv Troupe, “Romeo & Juliet’s Big Italian Wedding” gives a hilarious modern glimpse at this classic tale. Relatives who don’t get along are only part of the problem at this
wedding.
IMPROVable Cause favorites Brooke Hardy, Bill Whalen, Darren Campbell and Deb Kuhn lead this talented cast through a high energy, interactive evening.More information about “Romeo & Juliet’s Big Italian Wedding,” as well as tickets for the big event, will be available soon at the Pensacola Shakespeare Theatre.
