PYP Launches New Membership Meetings

It’s a new year and your PYP is taking a new approach to general membership meetings. Beginning January 30, the bi-monthly general membership meetings will become quarterly luncheons. This new format will give members an opportunity to learn about the most pressing issues in our community with expert speakers and panelists. PYP will be covering all costs of the lunch to provide another great value-add perk for members of PYP.

PYP is very excited to kick off the quarterly luncheon series with Al Wenstrand, president, Florida’s Great Northwest. Wenstrand will provide an insightful presentation on the new approach and outlook to economic development throughout the panhandle.

Wenstrand directs all aspects of Florida’s Great Northwest, including marketing, business development, workforce initiatives, and administration. In order to lay the groundwork for diversifying the regional economy, Wenstrand serves as a liaison to the community and works in conjunction with local educational institutions, workforce boards, businesses, and economic development organizations.

Florida's Great Northwest, Inc. is a regional economic development organization representing 16 counties in Northwest Florida. Recognizing that collective advantages and regional strengths are best harnessed by working together, Florida’s Great Northwest was founded in 2000 to build a regional partnership. Since its inception, Florida’s Great Northwest has evolved into one of the nation’s premier regional partnerships for economic and workforce development.

In addition to the presentation from Florida’s Great Northwest, PYP leadership will provide updates on the latest activities and initiatives that so many of you are working hard to implement in our community.

Space is limited. Reservations are requested no later than Tuesday, January 27. RSVP by sending an email to pypquarterluncheon@gmail.com.
